About the Cambridge IGCSE Programme
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16-year-olds, recognized by leading universities and employers worldwide. It is part of the Cambridge Secondary 2 stage.
Cambridge IGCSE is a great foundation for the rigors of high school learning and paves the way for Cambridge International AS and A Levels, the International Baccalaureate Diploma, and other post-Grade 10 routes.
The Cambridge IGCSE Curriculum
Cambridge IGCSE helps students to develop their knowledge and understanding, as well as skills in subject content and intellectual enquiry. At AIS, students pursuing the IGCSE curriculum are offered the following subjects: English as the first language, an option between Hindi, French, and Spanish as a second language, Economics, Sciences, Mathematics, Business Studies, Computer Sciences.
AIS is one of the top performing IGCSE schools in India. We are proud to have numerous top performers both nationally and globally in subjects like Chemistry, Business Studies, Mathematics, Biology, and ICT. In our Class of 2025, five students scored A* in eight subjects and four scored A* in seven. Over 60% of students achieved A* or A in Chemistry, Business Studies, and Biology. In 2024, one student earned a perfect 100/100 in Mathematics—the highest in the world—and received the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award.

Career Exploration Program
Proactive career exploration enables students to identify their interests helping them carve out a career that aligns with their passions. With Odyssey, our students will get an opportunity to dive deep into career domains like design, finance, engineering, and data science through interactions with industry experts, 1:1 coaching by experienced mentors, and hands-on projects.
College Counseling Program
Our college counseling program helps students build a cohesive narrative, showcasing strong academic skills and diverse extracurricular interests. Grade 8 and 9 students meet counselors 1:1 once per term to share goals, expectations, and co-construct a future roadmap. Grade 10 students meet 1:1 every two months to focus on extracurricular planning, resume building, and narrowing down university options. The program includes orientations, college fairs with 150+ universities, and university webinars, ensuring thorough preparation for university applications.
Building an extracurricular portfolio
To secure admission to top colleges, a well-rounded extracurricular portfolio showcasing ambition, interests, and open-mindedness is essential. At AIS, we offer two focused programs: Visual Arts and Coding, Robotics, and Digital Fabrication. In visual arts, students explore various 2D and 3D techniques, digital art, and art history while developing personal portfolios showcased in exhibitions. In the makerspace, students learn coding, build robots, and design products using modern fabrication tools, culminating in tech-driven portfolios presented at MakerFest.
Communication Skills
The Communication Skills Workshop Series helps students build confidence and creativity through modules in public speaking, creative writing, and digital storytelling. Led by industry experts, these workshops foster digital fluency and essential communication skills for academic and real-world success.
