  • The Farewell function for the outgoing Class 12 (A-level) and Class 10 (IGCSE) was held on 7th March 2008.
  • The Annual Day Celebrations were held at Tagore Hall on 4th and 8th of February, 2008
  • The students appeared for State Board (SSC & HSC) Examinations commencing on 10th March, 2008. AIS also extends best wishes to the students appearing GUJCET to be held on 10th April, 2008. AIS was declared as SAMRAS KENDRA by the State Education Board for conducting examinations.
  • The students of IGCSE, AS & A-levels finished with their pre-mock examinations in March and have begun with their mock examinations. The IGCSE, AS & A-level examinations will commence on 12th May, 2008.
  • Trinity Examinations were held on the school campus from 6th Feb 2008 to 22nd Feb 2008.  Around 325 students appeared in the examinations at different grades.

Campus
Every classroom has public address facilities, display and writing boards, lockers for students, custom made furniture and provision for broadband internet Connection.

The laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology and specialist teaching rooms for Art, Music, Social Science, Language and Computer Science are equipped in accordance with the specifications of national and International examination boards.


The Library is central to each student's academic progress. The AIS Library has shelf space for 40,000 books with a rich collection already in place. In addition, students have access to periodicals and audio visual resources and internet facilities. The learning center also supports archiving of the school's different learning resources and records.

The open air auditorium on ground floor provides an elegant, functional and versatile space for assemblies, concerts, lectures and gathering of all kind.

The adjacent playground includes grass pitch and Basketball courts. The playground provides an opportunity for a range of outdoor sports.

The school attaches great importance on the health and safety of the students. Regular health promotion activities such as an annual check up and Dental and Orthalmologic camps are held camps are held.

The art room offers facilities for developing varied artistic interests including computers graphics, textiles designing, clay modeling, painting, drawing and craft. The Indian music room is equipped with a wide range of musical instruments for learning Hindustani music, while the western room provides children with a variety of experiences in International Music.

The yoga room gives an opportunity to students to learn the art of relaxation and concentration to foster a healthy body, mind and soul.

The School Canteen confirms to the highest standards of modern catering. It served balanced and nutritious vegetarian snacks and lunch. Drinking water is available throughout the day on each floor of the campus.

The teachers are regularly updated on their teaching skills and knowledge by IBO and CIE. Some of them have also attained Trinity Certification.

The student-teacher ratio is 10:1 with one co-teacher. The ratio allows teachers to individually guide and instruct each student. AIS teachers act as friend, philosopher and guide to their students.
