- Rahul Chokshi, an A level student broke a national record and won 3 gold and 1bronze medal and Neil Contractor, a grade 9 student won 2 gold and 2 bronze medals in swimming, in the recently concluded 56th National School games, held in Solapur.
- The Raas-Garba '10, was held on 9th October in the AIS ground. The live music provided by Aarti, Shyamal and Saumil Munshi set the mood for the evening and left everyone wanting more.. Our students also performed the garba, choreographed by our dance teachers.

- Congratulations to our world IGCSE toppers, Riya Shah and Anushri Nanavati. They scored the highest marks in the world in the June 2010, Cambridge IGCSE examination in Mathematics and Sociology. They have been awarded the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award.
- CIE, IGCSE and IBDP results were declared. We had 100% results. Jwalin Patel Scored A*(Above 90%) in all the subjects in A levels.
- All our students have got into good universities like University of Michigan-AnnArbor, Russell's design school – Singapore, and many other prestigious universities abroad.
- Mr. Ajay Nair, our English teacher was chosen for the distinguished Fulbright awards in teaching program sponsored by the US department of state. The program sends highly accomplished primary and secondary teachers from the US, abroad and brings international teachers to the US for a semester long program.
- Mr. Steve Tomb, English teacher from Johnsburg Central school district, US , has been sent as part of the Fulbright program to AIS. He will be taking IGCSE, IBDP and A level classes. Photo
- The Government of Singapore will sponsor students. A competitive evaluation test in English, Mathematics and General ability for the students of Grade 9 will be conducted in September by Convent of Holy Infant Jesus and St. Joseph's Institute, Singapore. The successful candidates will be spending four years at Singapore with scholarship and a monthly stipend.
- In lieu of this the students of Grade IX went on an exchange program to Singapore to visit these schools. They were able to spend valuable time in these schools. Photo1, Photo2
- The students of IBDP I and II will be visiting Cambodia for the Angkor Thom CAS Project. The students have designed activities for 110 orphaned Cambodian children in the age group of 8 to 18 years.
- Dr. Tarulata Hirani, our head of the school visited Bangkok, Thailand to attend the annual conference conducted by the International Association For Educational Assessment. The broad purpose of IAEA is to assist educational agencies in the development and appropriate application of educational assessment techniques to improve the quality of education.
- Ms. Minakshi Balkrishna, our PYP coordinator had recently visited Harvard to attend the "future of learning "workshop conducted by Howard Gardner. The Future of Learning is designed to help understand how societal changes and technological advancements affect the way students learn.
- Our school hosted the Interschool Volley ball tournament. AIS were the proud winners of the under 14(girls and boys) and under 19 (girls) matches. Photo

- As an initiative towards contributing to society, Sneh Srushti came into being. Little children of mixed age group from a nearby slum were identified. AIS conducts regular classes to educate them. Photo

- Ms Regina Lee, Principal of Convent of Holy
Infant Jesus and Mr. Benjamin Lui of St. Joseph’s Institute,
Singapore visited our school on 26th August 2009. They conducted
a competitive evaluation test in English, Mathematics and General
ability for the students of Grade 9. The successful candidates
were called for an interview along with their parents. Finally
two students, Jake Prasad and Krishna Shah, made it to the final
list.

- Grandparents' day was celebrated on 12th
September 2009. All the little ones from Pre - Primary came
in with their grandparents. Several activities were arranged
for them to indulge in. They went back having enjoyed themselves

- Independence Day is celebrated with a lot
of fun fare depicting India from 1500 A.D. with songs,
skills and information boards.
- It was time to bid good bye to our Grade
XII students. On 20-02-2010, a farewell party was organized
by Grade XI. A host of spontaneous speeches reminiscing of days
gone by made the event emotional and brought tears to many an
eye.
- The PYP exhibition provides an opportunity
for students of Grade VII to demonstrate their learning in the
PYP and to take action as a result of their learning. It gives
students the opportunity to demonstrate independent and responsible
learning exploring multiple perspectives. It also gives a chance
to unite the students, teachers, parents and other members of
the school community in a collaborative experience.
This year, the exhibition topic was “Governmental systems
and decisions can promote or deny equal opportunities and social
justice.”
Mr. Thiruppugazah, Commissioner of Information, Government
of Gujarat was the guest speaker in AIS, during the PYP exhibition.
The exhibition included activities like Skit on “Save
the girl Child”, drama on The Common Man of India, songs,
dance, debate, panel discussion, paper presentation, quiz and
power point presentations along with chart displays on soft
boards based on the PYP concepts. The UOI folder and journals
of students were also displayed.
