The Ahmedabad International School welcomes your interest in pursuing admission to our school. Admission and placement decisions are made by the authorities in the school. This committee is composed of the division principal, counselor, and specialists. The following details are put into consideration:
- The student's age.
- Parent's interview
- School records for the past year.
- Results on any entrance screening, particularly writing samples.
- Slot availability in the appropriate grade / program.
- Entrance test
At the High School level, an applicant's grade placement will also be based on academic credits, parent's interview and results of the entrance test.
To begin the application process families should contact the Admissions Office well in advance of the desired enrollment date.
International Applicants
Although international applicants should follow the same admission procedure, you may need to follow a few more steps before finalizing your application. Those steps include:
- Obtain proof of immigration status. In most cases, obtain a valid student authorization and photocopy of passport
- Obtain medical insurance
- Two passport-size photos of the student
Applicants furnishing false, incomplete, or misleading information will be subjected to rejection or dismissal without refund
Special Note
- An attested copy of the child's birth certificate to be attached with the form
- A recent passport sized photograph to be attached in the box provided
- An official copy of the students scholastic record to be attached for admissions to Grade 1 and above
- Original School leaving certificate to be attached at the time of payment of fees.
- A copy of student's passport information page to be attached for non resident Indian
- Transfer certificate will have to be provided by students coming from schools and states other than Gujarat
- Admissions to AIS for Grade 3 and above will be based on a written test in English, Math and Science followed by an interview
